Eugene Vindman is a retired United States Army officer and attorney. He is best known for his role in the events leading up to the first impeachment of Donald Trump.
He is the twin brother of <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/Alexander%20Vindman">Alexander Vindman</a>, who also testified in the impeachment inquiry.
Both Eugene and Alexander Vindman emigrated from Soviet Ukraine to the United States with their family.
Eugene Vindman served in the U.S. Army for over two decades, specializing in <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/intelligence">intelligence</a>.
He worked at the National Security Council (NSC) as an attorney specializing in ethics.
Similar to his brother, Eugene raised concerns about President Trump's phone call with the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
He testified before Congress during the <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/impeachment%20inquiry">impeachment inquiry</a>, corroborating aspects of his brother's testimony.
Following his military service, Eugene Vindman entered politics. He announced his candidacy for Attorney General of Virginia in 2023, however subsequently withdrew. He successfully ran for and was elected to the office of <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/Commonwealth%20Attorney">Commonwealth Attorney</a> for Loudoun County, Virginia in 2023.
